The 88th annual Academy Awards took place this past Sunday with star coming out enforce to celebrate. Leo finally got is Oscar and everyone was dressed to the nines. I, of course, was on the look out for my favorite part of the show… the jewelry! 2016 was another show-stopping year and the stars did not disappoint. Here are my top ten favorite looks from the Red Carpet!
Naomi Watts always has the most stunning jewelry. This years Bulgari diamond choker was no exception. Featuring a leaf pattern, it was the perfect accessory for her form-fitting Swarovski crystal embellished Armani Prive gown.
Normally I’m not a fan of mismatched earrings but Saoirse Ronan pulls off the look magnificently. In a dangly pair of Chopard earrings, one white and one green, they were an unexpectedly edgy touch to her emerald dress and smokey eyes.
Once quoted as saying that women over 40 shouldn’t wear their hair back, Sofia Vergara surprised us all with an up-do that showcased her Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings.
Tine Fey’s diamond and sapphire Bulgari necklace was an excellent contrast to her gorgeous purple gown. I love the bold choker trend that has been popping up on the Red Carpet in recent years!
Jennifer Garner walked the Red Carpet as a single woman in classic black. She styled her one shoulder Atelier Versace beaded gown with earrings and a stack Neil Lane bangle bracelets. I love that she went without a necklace because she looked stunning and perfectly accessorized.
Always a showstopper, Charlize Theron wore $3.7 million dollars worth Harry Winston Diamonds including a 48.8 karat diamond pendant that highlighted the plunging neckline of her red Dior gown.
Emily Blunt was a vision in an embellished blush pink gown and Niwaka chandelier earrings. Emily was one of the few starlets to wear the Japanese jewelry brand of the Red Carpet.
Patricia Arquette’s earrings are absolutely gorgeous. The vintage Fred Leighton earrings featured sliced emeralds in a hexagon shaped with sapphires layered on top. They look great with her navy gown and really make her hazel green eyes pop.
Looking good in a classic black gown, Whoppi Goldberg wore an incredible Sevan Bicacki octopus ring and bracelet combo. I’ve never seen a piece like this before and I love that Whoppi wore it to the Oscars. It was fun and funky and totally unexpected.
In a one shoulder vibrant orange Stella McCartney gown, Olivia Munn was a stunner. Foregoing a necklace, her 12.06 karat serpent bracelet by Forevermark by Jade Trau really completed her look.
With so many gorgeous statement pieces, its hard to pick a favorite so I’m not even going to try. Narrowing the field down to ten was hard enough. Who wore your favorite jewelry on the Red Carpet this year?
